I just came back from riding in a Biomechanics clinic this past Thursday, April 3rd, with Russell Guire of Centaur Biomechanics. It was held at Whitaker Stables near Orangeville, Ontario.
Norwegian Fjords in the Rose Parade

Bluebird Lane extends a hearty congratulations for a job well done to the team that represented our Norwegian Fjord Horse Registry in the 2014 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA!
On January 1, in front of over eight hundred thousand spectators and broadcast nationally, this group of Fjord owners made us proud by presenting 13 beautifully turned-out Fjord horses, exhibiting the unique traits of our wonderful breed and their Norwegian heritage.
Caledon Dressage Year End 2nd Level Champion!

What a fun end to the show season to find out that my Fjord Ooruk and I were awarded the Caledon Dressage Year End Champion in the Second Level Open division! Woo Hoo!
Caledon Dressage August Show

The Bluebird Lane team just got back from our last show of the year, the Caledon Dressage August Silver Show! What a great time we had at the show, especially with the beautiful weather all weekend.
Lori showed Ooruk at 2nd Level, winning every class they entered. The pair earned scores up to 71.579% in Second Level Tests 1, 2, and 3, and won the Second Level Open Championship with an overall 70.25%.
Finger Lakes Fjord Show

It had been far too long since our summer schedule has allowed us to venture down to upper New York State for the Finger Lakes show. This year, with our intern Janina Klingelhoefer being here from Germany, we really wanted to make it happen. The date was free, my passport arrived the week before, and everything just kind of came together at the last moment for us to go.
We set off with two horses, our gelding Ooruk and mare Bluebird Lane Kestrel. The plan was that I would show Ooruk and Janina would show Kestrel.
Caledon Silver Show

We had a great time showing at the Caledon Dressage Silver Show in Orangeville this weekend, July 6 and 7!
Fresh off our recent clinics with Christian Garweg and Ashley Holzer, I was feeling confident and well-prepared. In our first test, Second Level Test One, Ooruk and I had a great go and won our class with a super score of 76.714%!
