Beautiful, Well-trained Mare…
Bocina is a nine year old, 14.2 hh, brown dun mare. Her sire is Prisco who was imported from Holland. Prisco and Lori showed successfully up to Third Level dressage and trained at Fourth level. Prisco is now also competing successfully in Pleasure- and Combined-driving.
Bocina has been owned by Bluebird Lane since she was a yearling, and was raised and trained here. She has had the best of care and training her entire life.
Bocina loves people and is a totally pleasant horse to be around and to ride. In a breed of horses known for being “sweet and gentle”, Bocina takes it to the next level, with the aura of a Zen Buddhist monk.
Bocina is suitable for a beginner, child, or timid rider. She is well-trained and responds to proper aids, thereby helping her rider learn the correct timing and feel. She does not, however, get worried by mistakes and is happy to work with whomever is on her back. A super horse for a family with perhaps a mom who rides and kids who want to learn.
Bocina was shown successfully at First Level dressage, winning the Reserve Champion of the season for our CADORA (Canadian Dressage Owners and Riders Association), and she was the same horse at the shows as she is at home.
Bocina has had one foal, in 2009, a very nice colt with great conformation, movement, and that perfect temperament! Bocina was easy to breed, foaled easily and was a good mother. After we weaned the colt she was put back into full time work.
Definitely a limited-edition mare! A fantastic opportunity to have a beautiful well-trained horse that is fun and safe for the whole family!
