Handsome Well-Started Young Gelding
Very nice five year old gelding, bred, raised and trained here at Bluebird Lane.
Storjo (pronounced Stor-Yo) is just adorable and quite a character. He always makes us chuckle. A friendly and personable horse, he seeks out attention and loves to spend time with people.
Started under saddle this past summer, and in full training since then, Storjo is working reliably in walk/trot/canter. He is easy to put together, and nice and steady in the contact. He works on his own without pushing, and comes back when asked.
This is a well-started horse with very correct basics. He is sensitive to the aids and not bothered by small noises and distractions. Comfortable and easy-to-sit gaits. Accustomed to being worked either by himself or with other horses. Really fun to ride!
His sire Saethersblakken was bred in Norway, where he sired some very well-known sons including an 1.pr approved stallion son. Storjo’s dam Rjelgrimm goes back to the Elite stallion Myrstein, well known for siring excellent movement, and her dam line is also extremely strong, being out of the ster and prestatie mare Carla sired by the German stallion Oswald.
Storjo does all the things you would expect: leads, ties, cross-ties, trailer loads, bathes, clips, body-clips, fly spray, and is good for the farrier. Gets along well in a herd, not a dominant type.
Storjo is suitable for a dressage rider or anyone who wants a great all-round horse!
Congratulations to Storjo’s new owner in Vermont!
